Jewish Voice for Solidarity

Who?

We are an open Jewish initiative grounded in diaspora, and we’re here from a need to give voice to those who want to live their Jewishness in solidarity, freedom, and inclusion—without dogma, hierarchy, or claims to have found the one true path forward. We’re not here despite history, but as history’s continuation. Our Jewishness is rooted in the memory of persecution, displacement, and resistance—and that’s precisely why we stand with those who face oppression today.

Diaspora

For us, diaspora isn’t a temporary condition. Our home is wherever we are—and wherever we can collectively make Jewish existence meaningful for the present and the future. Diaspora is not and has never been a simple place of comfort and easy fortune. In diaspora we feel the pain of exile—a pain before which we do not flee. We remain, and we feel at home here because struggle here for better lives. Because we struggle, exile is our home.

Jewishness without borders or dogmas

We take Jewishness not as an unchanging set of rules or a fixed identity, but as an open-ended and dynamic process—a living tradition that takes shape in dialogue and in the courage to ask questions. We believe that being a Jew today means looking for new meanings, creating new rituals and making room for a multiplicity of Jewish voices. Our Jewishness is not afraid of change—it is in change that we find continuity.

Solidarity as a commitment

We believe that Jewish history and ethics commit us to solidarity with all marginalized people, with all those  who are not entirely “at home.” This is not an act of sympathy. It is a political responsibility and a sense of belonging together.

We reject

nationalism, racism, patriarchy, colonialism, and capitalism as systems that divide, exploit, and silence. We reject them even when they disguise themselves in the language of security, tradition, or identity.

The critique of Zionism is not a denial of Jewishness

We understand those who have sought and continue to seek safety in Palestine/Israel. But we reject the exploitation of Jewish history to justify occupation, apartheid, and violence on the Palestinian people. We believe in just, equal, and peaceful coexistence.

A safe and open space

We work to create an environment without violence, degradation, or discrimination. Regardless of age, origin, language, gender, belief, sexual orientation, or social status. Together we stand for empathy, mutual solidarity, and a willingness to learn even from mistakes and misunderstandings.

No leaders, no barriers

We have neither hierarchy nor formal membership. Anyone can join who shares our values and commits their time, efforts, and ideas. Every voice has its weight; every path has its place.

Culture of resistance

We organize lectures, screenings, holiday celebrations; we plan political activities and cultural interventions. There is more than one way to take part. What unites us is shared space and shared effort.

Why?

Because Jewishness isn’t a weapon, but an opportunity and a way of being and acting.Because solidarity is stronger than identity.Because diaspora is tired of remaining silent.
